Festival Artist FAQ

Thanks so much for being part of the festival! We can’t thank you enough. It is your art and excitement and community that will make this festival a success, in terms of money raised, community build, and fun to be had.

FAQ

  • BASIC INFO:

    • COMMUNITY: The #1 tenant of the festival is community. We are coming together as a community to celebrate our talents, connect with each other, and to raise money for our community. Our goal is to honor and respect all of the acts during their sets as well as to make the rotating cast of friends and family coming in for each set feel comfortable and welcome. One of the joys of this festival is that there is a tremendous diversity of genres and communities coming together on one day and our goal is to celebrate all of them.

    • COVID Protocol: To keep our community safe, all guests will be required to show proof of vaccination before entering, including performers. Masks are required indoors except people actively performing and in the designated food & drink area that will be connected to open air. Unfortunately, people who cannot show proof of vaccination will not be allowed to enter the building.

  • LINKS TO SHARE: The biggest thing you can do to help is to share about the festival. And invite people to come and donate.

  • PERFORMING:

    • Sets are 20 min. If your set was delayed, feel free to do your full 20 minutes. Please be on time though so that things don’t get too delayed.

    • Arrive: Please arrive at least 15 min prior to your set. If you can, please arrive during the break before your “group”. You will see the times of each break/intermission and set in the schedule below.

    • Green Room: There will be a green room upstairs shared among only artists and events staff volunteers. You are welcome to store anything you need there and/or hang out there before and after your set. The Door volunteers will point you in the right direction when you arrive.

    • SOUND CHECK: Transitions happen very quickly because of the jam-packed nature of the festival. Breaks/Intermissions have been scheduled in to ease any spill over from sets. The break/intermission before your group of three acts is the best time to soundcheck. We will set up for each of the three artists involved in that group in the break before your group. Conor and/or Sound Tech volunteers will be on hand to help you out before, during, and after your set.

      • Guitar Amp (one small PA with guitar plug in from Conor, larger Amp [Roland] from Kat Redlus)

      • DI Box (from Feyer)

      • Keyboard (Full 88 keys - from Yuko)

      • Keyboard Sustain Pedal (from Mike Tedesco)

      • IF YOU NEED ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE MESSAGE CONOR ASAP.

    • BACKING TRACKS: If you will perform with backing tracks, please send them to Conor to upload to his laptop and/or bring a USB and/or bring a device like a phone that can connect to the aux.

    • SCHEDULE CHANGES: If you need to change your set or drop out, please tell Conor ASAP! Things happen but the quicker we know, the quicker we can reach out to other artists to swap or fill in for you.
